Twisted Society

I sit here alone
Silent as can be
Staring out the window
Dreaming of the perfect society
Dreaming of a place where humanity
Would almost understand me
I sit here dwelling on what could never be
Fighting my soul constantly
I cry for a friend, yet no sound is heard
Thinking of trusting is considered absurd
I would once lead my heart to desire
Now I watch my dreams burn in the fire
I feel my unused heart
Being twisted, stretched and pulled apart
Torn to the point where dreams can't be
All because of the twisted society
